The Albany Democrat Herald reports a man attempted to elude the police at speeds in excess of 100mph and got caught because he was wearing too much cologne.
Charles V. Agosto decided not to stop when an officer pulled him over for running a red light and speeding. Instead, he sped off, losing the hood of his Honda Prelude sometime during the chase. He actually lost the cops, but the officers saw his car parked on a side street and set about looking for him. They couldn’t see him, but they could smell him, and they eventually shook him out of some bushes with the help of a K-9 unit.
Let this be a lesson to everyone. If there is any chance that you are going to run from the law — or even the mafia or anyone — don’t put on a bunch of bad smelly perfume before you leave the house.
