Q: Can you help me with a unique guacamole recipe?

A: The easiest way to make a recipe unique is to ignore traditional ingredients. Now that doesn’t mean you should include harmful or inedible objects such as, broken glass, or small pebbles. But unusual non-toxic food and spices should definitely be considered. For guacamole you might think about using apples instead of avocados. They have the same consistency and will certainly be a surprise for anyone expecting the same old guacamole that they always get. You should spice it up with a handful of habanero peppers. Or for an even more untraditional surprise you could mix in a couple of tablespoons of wasabi! Better yet, instead of apple or avocado you could use butter! Your guests will be talking about that for years to come. I have always been fascinated by experimental cuisine. Let us crowd source our research. Tell me about your successes and failures in experimental cuisine in the comments below. I can’t wait to hear your results!
